Forever Yours
Set in Victorian England,
this is the story of John and Sarah who live in a small cottage on a farm in
Kent. Having left her privileged life in London, Sarah has to learn to adapt to
country life, and with no modern appliances and no servants to attend to her
every whim, she finds life difficult. However, despite that, she vows to make a
go of it, for she loves her husband deeply.
John Carter is a good man,
but unfortunately, he has one undesirable trait; he feels that he is not good
enough for his wife. Sarah is beautiful, intelligent and graceful, and he knows
that one day, a rich gentleman will steal her away from him. Over time, this
eats away at him, and it is made worse by the fact that although they have been
married for five years, they have no children, and Sarah longs for a child.
Then, cracks start to
appear in their marriage when he notices that his best friend Jacob is more
attentive towards Sarah, and she seems to like his attentions. As time goes on,
his insecurities deepen, and he starts to make reckless decisions, until he
does something completely out of character which affects their lives forever.
